Staff and Management Structure
Kent Students' Union employs approximately 416 staff to provide services for its members. Staff are of two types: approximately 300 student staff, who work whilst completing their studies at the University of Kent and 116 career roles – professionals who have made working at Kent Students' Union part of their career.

Assignment/job description
Thanks for your interest in joining Kent Students’ Union’s Business Development team, SU Network. SU Network generates income across 11+ campuses in South England. We offer a range of promotional services such as the Freshers’ Fair, to digital marketing such as social media and website ads.
In your role as Marketing and Outreach coordinator, you need to have a passionate creative flair, you’ll help us with all our social media platforms as well as think of fun, creative ways in which we can use our spaces and venues such as Woodys and the Venue.
Your role will be to get involved on our social media platforms, content creation, and increasing our follower count through consistent posting, as well as developing relationships with external clients who are looking to hire our venues to host parties and events, offering great customer service and support, and coordinating with our events and licensed trade teams to deliver amazing experiences for them.
There’s scope to bring your existing experience, if this is marketing, social media or customer service.
Through this role you will be able to gain valuable experience for future careers in marketing, partnerships, sales, business development, and much more.
Person spec:
- Strong communication skills, and an understanding on how to speak to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- A willingness to build on existing and learn new skills
- An understanding of Kent Students’ Union’s core purpose and how Business Development fits within this

Hours/Location: 8-12 hours, Mandela Building
Temporary - 3 months with option to extend.
Anticipated start date: w/c 31st July 2023
Hourly rate: £13.68 ph
