Kent Students' Union (KSU) runs two Coop franchise stores, Woody's Bar, Library Cafe, and The Venue on the Canterbury campus. KSU's Licensed Trade and Catering Department is one of the Union's largest customer-facing departments and runs 3 outlets: The Library Cafe, Woody's and The Venue across the Canterbury campus. We are dedicated to offering students value for money, entertainment and a safe environment to socialise and study in.
Currently we have vacancies in either The Venue Nightclub, or the Library Cafe for academic year 2025-2026.
Library Cafe
The Library is the bustling hub of the University with students meeting here to study or simply meeting with friends to hang out. At the heart of this hub lies the very popular Library Cafe. You will be preparing and serving, some might say, the finest coffee on campus!

New staff will be required to work a minimum of two shifts per week, and evening and weekend work will be required as part of their shift pattern.
The Venue
The Venue is KSU's nightclub which plays host to a wide range of artists and events across the academic year including, Dick and Dom, Shy FX and Andy C (just to name a few). It first opened in 1998 and has continued to improve and remain KSU's largest Licenced Trade outlet. The Venue it home to the Wednesday night with our very own Vensday as well as other Weekly nights covering all music genres.
Woody's Bar

The Parkwood building also hosts a Co-op convenience shop with a broad range of fresh food, hot grab and go food and beverages, a social/study space to relax, meet and make friends, an IT/study hub for students and two dance studios/student activity spaces to support our 250 sports clubs and societies engage with their members.
