Student School Representative

Hourly rate - £14.57 per hour including holiday roll up.

Hours per year - 24 hours across the academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a current Course Rep to take their representative work one step further. Building upon the vital work of Course Representatives, the School Reps will act as a key strategic link between the student body within their school, the School, University leadership, and Kent Students’ Union (KSU).

School Reps work in teams within their respective Schools, with each School having 3 School Reps - an Undergraduate School Representative, a Post-Graduate Taught School Representative, and a Postgraduate Research School Representative. Only students who have demonstrable experience in representing others, either in a previous role as a Course Rep or on an individual basis, can apply to become School Reps. As there are limited positions available, applicants will be subject to an interview before being granted the role.

As a School Rep, you’ll be central to Student Representation at KSU, working with the President (Education) and KSU staff to ensure academic concerns and issues are represented. You’ll serve as a key liaison between KSU and the student body, advocating for students’ interests, and helping to make change on campus.
