KSU Part Time Officer

Hourly rate - £14.57 per hour including holiday roll up.

Hours of work - Zero hours contract, approximately 4 hours per week during term time.

This is an exciting opportunity for a current student to represent and act as a voice for Kent students to both the University and Kent Students’ Union (KSU). We are looking for driven, passionate and approachable student who can form part of KSU’s Part-Time Officer team for the 2026/27 academic year.

As the Students’ Union, we are led by you. That’s why we have a range of representative positions for students. These include a team of Full-Time Officers (FTOs) who are elected each year and work full-time as your representatives. We also have a team of Part-Time Officers (PTOs) who work alongside the FTOs to ensure that the voice of students is embedded right at the heart of KSU. We are recruiting for five PTO positions with each position representing a different cross section of our student community.

As a PTO, you’ll be central to student representation at KSU working with both the FTOs and KSU staff to ensure that students with protected characteristics are represented. You’ll serve as a key liaison between the Students’ Union and the student body, advocating for students’ interests and helping to build communities on campus.
