What is Kent Tech?

Kent Tech is a service run by Kent Students Union that allows students to join and take advantage of training opportunities and gain experience in sound, lighting, stage and event management at all the events we're involved with at University of Kent. We also work closely with the Gulbenkian and external production companies and many of our student team have gone on to work for those companies in full-time careers.

We continue to grow the number of events we support each year. Whether it be nights out at The Venue, University events, large festival events like Summer Ball or student group nights. Many of these events need equipment hire and technical support, that's where Kent Tech comes in. Kent Tech is a service run by Kent Students Union that hires out sound, lighting, stage, and power equipment to where it's needed on campus and provides technical support. Predominantly this technical support is provided by our excellent Kent Tech student staff who are paid to run the service and support our events.
