Congregations July 2025 – Graduations Assistants, Rochester Cathedral

We’re looking for up to 5 enthusiastic temps to join the Graduation Team at the July Congregation Ceremony in Rochester.

Get an insight into what your graduation will look like, work at the biggest event of the year and support this year’s graduands, helping the day go as smoothly as possible for them.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be supporting the Graduation Team by being located at various event signpost points, to assist congregation guests with directions to the cathedral and gowning location, and other generalised questions.

Whilst the team are always available to handle any issues, we’re looking for temps who are confident, proactive, approachable, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Rochester Cathedral and surrounding area, exact location will be allocated by the client.

Dates/Time: Monday 14th July 08.30am-16.30pm

Volume of staff required: Up to 5 temps, but this is subject to change in accordance with the clients’ needs.

Transport: The client can offer minibus transport which will take you from Darwin Bus stop to Rochester Cathedral and back. Pick-up at 7:30 prompt from Darwin bus stop. Return journey collecting at 16:30 back to Darwin Bus stop.

All students will start at the same time, however, shift finishing times will vary depending on the role allocated.

• Lunch and refreshments are provided, tea is also available if you are working into the evenings.

Age related pay - 18/20 £11.91 per hour 21+ £13.68 per hour
